Skill Tech Audio Engineering Institute is the trading name of Audio Engineering Skilltech Institute for Technical and Occupational Skills Training Co. L.L.C. We are licensed in Dubai (mainland) by the Department of Economic Development, Trade Licence No. 1348345.
Audio Engineering Skilltech Institute for Technical and Occupational Skills Training Co. L.L.C. maintains the https://www.skilltechaudio.com website (the "Site"). The United Arab Emirates is our country of domicile.
Our KHDA accredited activity is "Technical and Occupational Skills Training" (Permit No 632197).
Our administration office is at Office 7, 2nd Floor, Tajvasi Business Center, Oud Metha Road, Dubai, PO Box 118467. Lessons are held at partner locations including the Dr Head studio, Internet City, Dubai.
2. What the gift card is
A gift card is a prepaid voucher for one DJ course package with a Skill Tech Audio DJ instructor. There are two packages. Prices include 5% VAT.
- One to one package: 5 sessions of 2 hours, 10 hours in total, AED 4,200. The session times are flexible and arranged with the instructor.
- Small group package: up to 3 people, 7 sessions of 2 hours, 14 hours in total, AED 3,675. The class has fixed timings.
We try to keep the same DJ instructor for the whole package, but we may have to change the instructor if they are not available.
Each card carries a unique voucher code, an issue date and an expiry date. It is a voucher for lessons, not cash, and it cannot be exchanged for cash except as set out in sections 6 and 7.
3. Buying and delivery
You pay online through a secure Omnispay payment link. Visa and Mastercard debit and credit cards in AED are accepted. Tabby and Tamara instalments are also accepted. We do not add any processing fees.
The price and currency displayed at checkout are the same as the price and currency on your transaction receipt. The amount charged to your card will be shown in your card's currency.
Once payment is made, a confirmation will be sent to you by email within 24 hours of receipt.
We do not trade with, or provide services to, countries subject to OFAC sanctions.
The cardholder must keep a copy of the transaction records and of these policies and rules.
If you create an account with us, you are responsible for keeping it confidential.
You are responsible for giving us the correct name and WhatsApp number or email for the person receiving the gift.
Our gift cards, like our mixes, are lovingly handmade, so we may need up to 48 hours to prepare yours. We send it by WhatsApp, email or both on the day you choose, or you can collect a printed card in a presentation wallet at Dr Head, Dubai. Collection hours are usually six days a week, 12 pm to 6 pm, but please let us know before you arrive. We will message you when it is on its way or ready to collect.
4. Booking and using the gift card
We add the person receiving the gift to a WhatsApp group with Andy and their DJ instructor. They need to book their first class within 14 days of receiving the gift card. If they have not booked after 14 days, we will send a friendly reminder. The gift card stays valid until its expiry date, and sessions are offered subject to availability.
- One to one: further sessions are arranged flexibly with the instructor around the learner's schedule, normally about two sessions a week, and must be completed before the expiry date.
- Small group: classes run at fixed times, which we confirm in the WhatsApp group.
- One to one: one free reschedule is included, with at least 48 hours' notice given in the WhatsApp group. Later changes, or a session missed without notice, may be lost.
The gift card is valid for 3 months from the date it is issued, and the expiry date is printed on the card. If the recipient needs more time, they can ask us before the expiry date and we will extend it once, free of charge, by 30 days. After that date the card has no value.
The card can be passed to another person if you tell us first. Message us on WhatsApp or email with their name and we will update the card.
5. Who can take the lessons
To use this website and buy a gift card you must be at least 18 years old. Anyone under 18 cannot register, transact on or use the website.
The person taking the lessons must be at least 12 years old. If they are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms and give an emergency contact before the first session.
No DJ experience is needed.
Before the first session they will be asked to confirm these terms, give an emergency contact in the UAE, and tell us about any health conditions we should know about.
6. Our satisfaction guarantee
If the person is not satisfied after their first session, they or you can tell us within 48 hours of that session, by WhatsApp or email, and we will refund the purchase price less AED 300.
We approve the refund within 7 working days. How and when it reaches you is explained in section 7. No awkward questions.
7. Cancelling and refunds
If the gift card has not been used, you can ask for a full refund within 14 days of buying it. We do not charge an administration fee. After that we cannot refund an unused card, but you can pass it to someone else or ask for the free extension.
If we cancel a session and cannot offer another time that suits, we will refund the unused part in full.
Refunds will be made only through the original mode of payment and will be processed within 10 to 45 days, depending on the issuing bank of the card.
If a discount was applied, we cannot refund an unused card. You can pass it to someone else or ask for the free extension before the card expires.
8. Conduct
Please be professional and respectful in every session. If equipment is damaged, the person responsible pays for the repair. Misconduct, harassment or disruptive behaviour can lead to immediate dismissal with no refund.
9. Health and safety
We are not responsible for injuries during hands-on lessons. Please have your own health insurance.
Wear suitable footwear at all times, no flip-flops.
No food or drink near the equipment. No smoking, vaping, alcohol or mind-altering substances on the premises. Please keep the premises clean.
Do not enter areas marked as office space at partner locations.
24-hour CCTV operates for security.
10. Venue
We work with industry partners. If we need to move lessons to another partner location, for example because of unforeseen circumstances, we will tell you in advance where we can. A change of venue does not affect the gift card.
11. Materials and recording
Course materials are for personal study only. Please do not copy, share or distribute them without our written permission. Please get approval from your instructor or our staff before recording any session.
12. Certificates
A certificate of completion from our accredited institute is included. KHDA attestation of the certificate is optional and costs AED 300 extra.
13. Ending the agreement
We can end the enrolment if these terms are not followed. You can withdraw by writing to us. Any refund is decided under section 7.
14. Your details and privacy
We use your details, the recipient's name and contact details, and your message only to take payment, prepare and deliver the gift, arrange the lessons and contact you about them. We do not sell them. Card details are entered on the Omnispay payment page and are not stored by us. Read our full Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
