At Skill Tech Audio Engineering Institute ("Skill Tech Audio", "we", "us" or "our") we understand that plans can change. This policy explains how to cancel a course enrolment, change DJ lessons or cancel a DJ lesson gift card bought through https://www.skilltechaudio.com. The Website is maintained by Audio Engineering Skilltech Institute for Technical and Occupational Skills Training Co. L.L.C., Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
1. Scope
This policy covers course enrolments, DJ lesson gift cards, and the booking and rescheduling of lessons in those gift cards. Read it with our Refund Policy and the Gift Card Terms and Conditions.
2. Training course cancellations
To qualify for a refund you must tell us at least 7 days before the course start date. An administration fee of AED 250 is deducted from approved refunds. Cancellations less than 7 days before the start date are not eligible for a refund. If you withdraw after the course starts, the fees are non-refundable and your certificate of completion may be affected. Discounted or promotional enrolments are not refundable. None of this affects rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
3. Gift card cancellations
If a gift card has not been used, the purchaser can cancel within 14 days of buying it and receive a full refund. We do not charge an administration fee. After 14 days an unused card is generally not refundable, but it can be passed to another person or extended as set out in its terms. Discounted gift cards are not refundable but can be transferred or extended. Mandatory consumer rights are not affected.
4. Booking and rescheduling lessons
Booking the first lesson
The recipient must arrange their first lesson within 14 days of receiving the gift card. Bookings are coordinated in a WhatsApp group with Andy and the recipient's DJ instructor. If the first lesson has not been booked within 14 days, we will send a reminder. The card stays valid until its expiry date.
Rescheduling
A one to one package includes one free reschedule, with at least 48 hours' notice before the lesson. Ask in the WhatsApp group. Changes with less than 48 hours' notice, extra reschedules or sessions missed without notice may mean that lesson is forfeited. Further changes are subject to availability.
Validity and extension
Gift cards are valid for 3 months from the date of issue, and the expiry date is printed on the card. All lessons must be completed within that period. One free extension of 30 days is available if requested before the card expires. Expired cards cannot normally be used or refunded.
Passing the card on
A gift card can be transferred to another person if you tell us beforehand. Contact us by WhatsApp or email with the new recipient's details. The original validity period and other conditions still apply.
5. Satisfaction guarantee
After the first lesson, the purchaser or recipient can contact us by WhatsApp or email within 48 hours to ask for a refund. We will refund the gift card price less AED 300. This is separate from the 14 day cancellation period for unused cards. Approved refunds follow our Refund Policy.
6. If we cancel
If we cancel a DJ lesson, we will aim to offer another suitable session. If we cannot, we will refund the unused part of the gift card in full. If we need to cancel a training course, we will contact students to explain and discuss the options. All of this remains subject to consumer protection law.
7. How to cancel
Contact us (details in section 9) with your full name and contact details, the course or gift card package, your booking reference or gift card code, the lesson or course date, and whether you want to cancel or reschedule. For unused gift cards, ask within 14 days of purchase. For a free reschedule, give at least 48 hours' notice. We will review your request and explain what is available.
8. Refunds and changes to this policy
Qualifying refunds follow our Refund Policy. Approved card refunds go to the original payment method and may take 10 to 45 days, depending on the issuing bank. We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is published on the Website and changes take effect when posted. Nothing here limits consumer rights that cannot lawfully be limited under UAE law.
