Our Story
Skill Tech Audio is an independent training initiative founded by Andrew James Ward, whose experience in recording studios, education, and live production began in 1994.
The institute was created in 2022 to bridge the gap between classroom theory and real industry requirements.

Our focus is simple: develop professional live sound operators who are ready for the professional audio industry. We support DJs and music producers with practical training to create and perform with confidence.
Our Guarantee
The advantages of our certificate over a diploma or degree are numerous. Firstly, our curriculum is on the pulse of existing industry practices. Degree courses are, more often than not, many years behind the industry; this is because of the lengthy accreditation process by academics – as opposed to industry practitioners.
The emphasis of an expensive degree leans toward classroom presentations and essays about audio more than kinesthetic practise and personal guidance.
Additionally, university audio lecturers tend to have little or no experience in today’s real world. Our audio instructors are sound engineers working in the field. Finally, the cost of a certificate is much less and the value for money significantly higher!
