Skill Tech Audio Accredited DJ Course is designed for aspiring DJs looking to master the art of mixing, beat-matching, and creating smooth transitions. Learn about the DJ equipment, software, and music theory essentials, while building hands-on skills in live performance. Whether you're a beginner or looking to refine your craft, our accredited training course will help you take your DJing to the next level!
During your 3 hour session you will have the essential theories for one hour, followed by 2 hours of solid DJ practise with your expert DJ as a guide on the side. You will have your own DJ Pioneer controller to mix on. Skill Tech Audio students also get 10% Discount with Dr Head and achieve academic status for more discounts with almost all audio software.
Understanding DJ Gear & Setup
• Overview of DJ controller, mixers, and speakers
• How to connect everything properly (basic signal flow, non-technical)
• 2 hours DJ practice
Beatmatching & Blending
• Manual beatmatching using tempo and jog wheels
• Intro to EQ and crossfader for smooth transitions
• 2 hours DJ practice
Rekordbox & Track Preparation
• Using Rekordbox to set cues, beat grids, and organize music
• Exporting to USB and navigating performance mode
• 2 hours DJ practice
Song Structure & Transitions
• Understanding intros, drops, breakdowns, outros
• Creative transitions: looping, EQ blends, cuts
• 2 hours DJ practice
Creating a Vibe & Building Your Library
• Song selection strategies and energy flow
• Reading the room and responding to the crowd
• Building and organizing your DJ library-
Recording Your DJ Set
• How to record a DJ mix with gear or software
• Levels, formats, and setting up for clean recordings
• 2 hours DJ practice
Final Project – Upload & Share Your Mix
• Upload your DJ mix to Mixcloud with title, description, and tracklist
• Class playback, feedback, and celebration of progress

If you're a beginner, after a 6-week course, you'll unlikely find a job. However, our live sound engineer course has a 100% success rate in that all students who have taken it (written April 2025) are now audio practitioners, either full-time, busy freelance, or on long-term contracts.
In the UAE and MENA, Freelance sound engineers can earn between AED500 and AED3500 per day; here's a guide for daily rates from 2024.

Full-time sound engineers, depending on experience, can earn monthly
AED3000 for freshers up to 18,000 or more.

Discounts are available at certain holidays and occasional promotions. Students enrolling 30 days before a start date can avail discounts, too. Follow socials to get updated.
If you are to cancel the enrolled course, notice must be given at least 7 days before the course starts to get a refund (minus the admin fee of AED 300). Unfortunately, we can’t offer refunds for cancellations made less than 7 days before the course starts.
If a student decides to withdraw from an ongoing course, he/she will not be eligible to receive a certificate from Skill Tech Audio even if he/she already finished 80% of the classes. Withdrawals from ongoing courses are not qualified for refunds.
